Sample Handling and Protocols

We will provide all users with carefully designed and validated protocols for sample handling and sample extraction followed by appropriate MRS techniques and statistical analyses. In our facility, we always extract cell, blood, tissue samples prior to quantitative NMR analysis in order: (i) for protein precipitation; (ii) separation of water-soluble from lipid metabolites; (iii) to decrease water signal. No extraction is required for urine, extracted prostatic specimens or saliva.
