Metabolomics Core Equipment

  • Bruker high-resolution 500 MHz spectrometer with a narrow bore superconducting 11.7 Tesla Oxford magnet (x,y,z-gradients) and a Bruker Avance multi-channel console. The system is equipped with two inverse 5-mm TXI probes (one 1H/ 13C/ 15N and one 1H/ 13C/ 31P) and with one state-of-the-art inverse 1-mm TXI micro-probe (1H/ 13C/ 31P) for NMR analysis on ultra-small volume human specimens.
  • Bruker high-resolution 300 MHz spectrometer with a wide bore superconducting 7 Tesla Bruker magnet and a Bruker Avance multi-channel console. The system is equipped with a quadruple 5-mm QNP probe (13C/31P/19F/1H) and a dual 20-mm 31P/ 1H probe.
  • Multiple workstations and printers are connected to both systems. Both high-resolution systems run on LINUX based platform with Bruker XWINNMR and TopSpin software for data acquisition. For data processing, Bruker TopSpin, 1DWINNMR and 2DWINNMR (with additional basic NMR package) are used for quantitative MRS analysis.
  • For statistical metabolomics analysis (including PCA, PLS-DA), various software (MatLab, AMIX and Bioconductor R 2.00 Package) are available.
