Flow Cytometry Basics

Submitting Samples- What You Need To Do

  • Make an appointment.
  • Prepare a flow cytometry worksheet (for analysis) or a bio-safety form (submitted before a sort).
  • Bring your single cell suspensions of stained cells in 12x75 polypropylene test tubes or micro titer tubes. Cells for sorting can be in any size tube.
  • Filter cells if they are aggregated.
  • Label tubes with sequential numbers if the core staff will be running them.
