Be part of the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Rocky Mountain region
The University of Colorado Cancer Center was established in 1988. Our 400+ members are renowned scientists and clinicians from across Colorado and the region who are interested in collaborating with others to understand the basic mechanisms of cancer, discover and create new tests, treatments and therapies, design and participate in clinical trials and pursue solutions for preventing and controlling cancer in our community and across the world.
Choose from 7 research programs
Both full and associate memberships are available to individuals who have a demonstrated interest in cancer research or patient care. Only individuals—not groups or institutions—may apply for membership in a UCCC Research Program:
- AMC Cancer Prevention & Control (population/prevention research and chemoprevention research) directed by Al Marcus, PhD and Rajesh Agarwal, PhD
- Cancer Cell Biology, directed by Robert Sclafani, PhD and Dennis Roop, PhD
- Developmental Therapeutics, directed by S Gail Eckhardt, MD
- Hormone Related Malignancies, focused in Breast, Prostate and Thyroid oncology, directed by Heide Ford, PhD and M. Scott Lucia, MD
- Immunology & Immunotherapy, directed by Donald Bellgrau, PhD and Jill Slansky, PhD
- Molecular Oncology, directed by Jessica Tyler, PhD
- Lung/Head & Neck Cancers, directed by York Miller, MD and Xiao-Jing Wang, MD, PhD
