Provide a positive experience and create a good impression as you pickup and deliver patients and visitors between their cars and the front door.

Sunshine Beverage Cart

Offer free beverages (coffee, tea, and lemonade) to families, visitors, and patients in clinics and reception areas.

Clinic/Office Assistant

Help clinic staff:

• Greet and direct patients
• Assemble admissions packets
• Run errands
• Answer phones
• Do clerical and computer work

Newborn Hearing Screening

Screen newborn babies’ hearing using automatic, high-tech equipment and record the test results for the Audiology Department.

Special Projects Team

Assist in the volunteer office by:

• Running errands
• Working on projects
• Helping patients and staff
• Escorting visitors and patients

Musician

Play the piano for patients, visitors and staff . We have grand pianos located in the lobbies of the Anschutz Inpatient and Outpatient Pavilions.

CeDAR – Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation

Greet and visit with patients and help staff with phones, schedules and other administrative duties.

Volunteers must have personal experience (self or family) in AA Recovery to show patients a model of sobriety and give hope that recovery is possible.

Day Surgery

Offer customer service to patients and visitors and restock the unit.

Surgery Waiting Room

Greet and provide information and support to visitors and families. Surgery volunteers also inform families of patient’s status in surgery and in the Intensive Care Units.

Inpatient Ambassadors

Greet and direct patients and visitors to locations in the hospital and on campus. Provide patient information.
Monday-Sunday, days

Anschutz Cancer Pavilion

Provide customer service to patients and help with clerical work. Volunteers also offer food and beverages to patients in the waiting areas and Infusion Center and provide company to patients in the Infusion Center.

Outpatient Rehabilitation

Assist staff with their care to patients in Rehabilitation room and Rehabilitation pool. Help with keeping equipment sanitary and provide assistance to staff with clerical work.

Patient and Family Concierge

Answer questions and provide support to patients and their families.

Blood Donor Center

Volunteers are needed to:

• Recruit blood donors
• Schedule appointments
• Provide great customer service
