Requirements

  • Non-resident: Must not be a Colorado resident
  • Required experience: 2 years within specialty
  • Licensure and Certification: University of Colorado Hospital will pay the $76 fee to the Colorado State Board of Nursing for temporary licensure to practice in Colorado. Documentation of current home state license and current CPR certification must be provided.
  • Physical examination: Physical assessment required upon acceptance of assignment. *Please note – although a ‘pre-employment’ health screen packet can be emailed/faxed to you, all UCH Traveler RNs will need to complete a ‘face-to-face’ health screen and drug test with our nurse practitioner PRIOR to your start date.    
  • Telemetry Test: Will be administered during clinical orientation.
