Ovarian Cancer Treatment at the University of Colorado Cancer Center

The Program of Excellence in Cancers of the Ovary in Colorado (PECOC) is located at the University of Colorado Cancer Center on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora Colorado.

Our goal is to eradicate the burden of ovarian cancer in the Rocky Mountain region through prevention, research, detection, treatment and outreach. Each of these key areas address specific critical areas that need further medical advances. No other program in Colorado offers the levels of expertise we offer our patients.

The doctors you see at PECOC are faculty of the University of Colorado Denver. They are members of the Gynecologic Oncology Group, which is a nationwide collaboration of gyn-cancer researchers who are developing clinical trials. Through our membership, and because we are part of one of the nation's elite comprehensive cancer centers, we are able to bring our patients leading-edge treatments through cancer clinical trials.

We Specialize in Ovarian Cancer

There are more than 100 different types of cancer. To ensure that we are always leading care at the cutting edge, UCCC has expert teams that each specialize in a small number of different cancer types. Because we are sub-specialized in ovarian cancer, we have treated the most common and the rarest types of cancer.

The University of Colorado Cancer Center is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Rocky Mountain Region-and one of only 39 in the United States.
